As your new president, I want to say hello to all of you. I am meeting many of you as the days go by. I am looking forward to knowing each of you and will hopefully continue and grow the dreams and goals each of the past and present board and team have set.
As April Nasiatka's mom, I am just learning. As you will discover, I have only worn skates one time (for now....), but absolutely love watching from the side and TV. April has been skating since she was 2 and I have sat many cold hours on the benches!!!!!
I live in Annapolis with my husband Mike and our two children, Andrew 15 and April who is 7. I work part-time as a Real Estate agent with Prudential Carruthers.
I am excited to be a part of the Piney Orchard Figure Skating Team and to be working with each of you to help our children excel and have fun!!!! As I am learning more about our skating team's desires and needs, I have set a few goals to begin with that I hope to see met. If anyone has suggestions, "how to's" and comments please come to any of our board members. As a team, we CAN DO!!!!!!

The Christmas Holiday Season usually means some much needed rest for many in the Washington-Baltimore area. However, a group of Piney Orchard figure skaters took the holiday season to refine routines and create holiday programs for an afternoon of Christmas performances at Benfield Pines Ice Arena. Eight members of the Piney Orchard Figure Skating Team performed during the annual event, held December 16.
Individual routines were performed by Dustin Cohen, Carli Jenkins and Christina Flood, while the ensemble of Christina, Lindsey and Shannon Flood, Dustin Cohen, Alyssa Cary, Emma Wiedmaier and Kira Woods performed a holiday skate before the gathered holiday crowd.
This is not the first time POFST skaters have performed exhibition during the Christmas holidays. The team has had individual, pairs, ensembles and full production teams perform in holiday festivities in Baltimore, Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County over the past four years. These exhibitions provide POFST a chance to promote figure skating to a wide audience, while also allowing the skaters to experiment with new ideas. Thanks for your efforts to improve yourselves and in representing the team throughout Maryland.
