Piney Orchard Figure Skating Team coach Linda Monney pins an axel pin on POFST member Suzanne Lardeo -- one of five POFST skater to land the difficult skating jump during the 2002-2003 season. Others who landed the axel during the year were Danielle Furlong, Greg Triantafillides, Katie Allen and Brittany Ward.

Rachel Layfield (right) concluded her final season with the Piney Orchard Figure Skating Team by being named co-winner of the team’s Most Improved Skater Award for 2002-2003. Presenting the award to Layfield is her coach, Robin Neumann. Layfield shared the award with Danielle Furlong.
