The Piney Orchard Figure Skating Team carried home several team and individuals medals from the 2-day District 4 Championships at the Richmond Ice Zone in Virginia on April 12 and 13, 2008.
   The Beatlemania Production team and Junior Youth Synchro “Starlettes” brought home their second Silver medals while and the Senior Snychro “Icelettes” team earned a bronze.
    Individually, in the 5-year-old Kylie Bulger of Crofton earned her fourth Gold medal of the season. Gold medals were also worn home for the Delta category by 7-year-old Molly McAteer of Annapolis and a second Gold by 10-year-old Alexandra Yates of Glen Burnie.
   In the Entertainment Spotlight Categories Crofton’s Lauren Bulger, 7, and Rylie Nobis, 10, achieved first place Gold medals. Alex Newcomb, 14, of Odenton brought home a Bronze medal, and Hanover’s Lauren Donnelly, 10, a Bronze. Piney’s Emma Ford, 7, of Hanover earned a Bronze medal for Character Spotlight, while Allison Fortney, 10, of Millersville earned Silver. In the couple’s category 5 year olds Payton Behling of Millersville and Kylier Bulger of Crofton earned second place Silver.
   In the 9-year-old Freestyle 1 category Erica Rosasco, of Millersville won her first Gold medal for while Madelyn McAteer of Annapolis took home the Bronze. In FS2 10-year-old Ashley Strong of Millersville earned a Bronze medal, while Rylie Nobis a Gold. In FS3 Lauren Donnelly Silver and Sarah Jane Levin, 9, of Ft. Meade Bonze. In FS4 14-year-old Audrey Simmons of Odenton worn home a Bronze medal for FS4 and Allison Fortney, her third Bronze for FS4.
   Sydney Behling,10, of Millersville earned a second Gold medal for Artistic FS 5.
   Several members of the Piney team also recently passed various United States Figure Skating levels including Lauren Risher – pre-juvenile moves, Grace Bloomfield juvenile field moves and Allison Fortney pre-preliminary
