Piney Orchard Figure Skating Team Competition Update

   Members of the Piney Orchard Figure Skating Team have been plowing a busy schedule of Ice Skating Institute Competitions recently including one at the Herbert Well Ice Rink in College Park, Maryland on March 8th and a 2-day event the weekend of March 21st at the State Annapolis Competition Sponsored by the Tucker Road Figure Skating Club hosted by the Bridgade Sports Complex.
    The "It's Time to Skate" Production Team captured its 2nd Gold medal in Annapolis while the Icettes Sr. Youth Synchro Team and Starlettes Jr. Youth Synchro Team each captured Silver medals
    Many individual team members competed in one or both competitions including in the 6 year old category Deanna Middlebusher of Laurel earning a Gold medal for FS2 Solo Compulsory and a Silver for FS 2; Kylie Bulger, of Crofton, three Gold medals for Spotlight and another Silver for Delta; Peyton Behling of Millersville took home a Bronze medal for Delta, and Peyton and Kylie together a Gold for Couples Spotlight; Molly McAteer, 8, of Annapolis took 2 Golds for FS2; Lila Perry, 9 of Crofton, Bronze for FS3; and Regan Ellis, 8 of Odenton, two Golds for FS5 Artistic and Spotlight. In the 10 year old categories Riley Roche of Severna Park took a Bronze for FS1; Lauren Bulger, 10, of Cofton, 2 Golds for Spotlight, a Gold for Solo Comp, and a Gold and Silver for FS4; Madelyn McAteer, 10, of Annapolis too a Gold and a Silver for FS4; Allison Fortney, 10, Millersville, took five Golds for individual FS4, Spotlight, and Interpretive; Sarah Jane Levine, 10, Ft. Meade, wore home a Silver and a Bronze medal for individual FS4; and Cailin Brown, 10, of Crofton took Silver for FS4. In the 11 years old categories Madison Decker of Severna Park earned a Silver for Delta; Ashley Strong of Millersville took home 2 Silver medals for FS5 and both a Silver and Bronze for Artistic FS5; Lauren Donnelly, of Hanover, earned a Gold and Silver for FS4, two Silvers for FS4 Spotlight and a Bronze in Interpretive; Rylie Nobis, of Crofton took two Bronze medal in each FS4 and Spotlight; Katelyn Wilbur of Odenton, took the Bronze for FS4; and Sydney Behling of Millersville, took home a Gold for FS5 and Artistic. Also earning medals were Margaret Brown, 12 of Annapolis, two Bronze medals for FS4 and Interp FS4; Emily Roberts, 13 of Gambrills, a Silver for Spotlight and Bronze for FS4; Jennifer Christie, 14 of Stevensville, a Gold for each FS6 and Interpretive; and Alex Newcomb, 15 of Odenton, took the Bronze in FS4 Spotlight.
    At Annapolis in their divisions the Jump and Spins Teams of the Piney Faries and Piney Pink Ladies took Gold Medals, while the Ice Jocks and Piney Penguins took Silver, and the Free Spirits took the Bronze.
